Meet the Coaches
BRITTANY FISHER - Owner, Fitness & Nutrition Coach
In August of 2011 while employed as a United States Border Patrol (USBP) Agent, Brittany was selected and detailed with 7 other Border Patrol Agents to initiate the first-everCrossFit “box” within USBP; Mustang CrossFit. From September 2011 through August of 2014, She and the other coaches instructed CrossFit movements and philosophies of fitness to all federal, state and local law enforcement officials in Laredo, Texas. During her time with Mustang CrossFit, she assisted and led over 1,500 athletes through CrossFit fundamental courses which teach the basics of all CrossFit movements. She instructed CrossFit classes for over 5,000 hours within her three years as a coach and instructor. Brittany was certified in 6 CrossFit courses to include; Level 1 Instructor course, Coach’s Prep, Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting, Rowing, and Mobility & Movement. Also, she led and assisted in organizing three CrossFit competitions with over a dozen vendors and 150 athletes for each. She has competed locally in several individual and team CrossFit competitions.
Her drive and passion for motivating others to better their fitness journey comes straight from the heart. Brittany has always turned to the support of her community and CrossFit when life had become the darkest. While beginning her coaching at Mustang CrossFit, in October of 2011, Brittany’s mother, Paula, was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS). Her two younger sisters became the primary caregivers for Paula, as she was able to stay at home and live with them in Houston. Brittany traveled back and forth from Laredo to Houston, TX on the weekends to assist with the care of her mother. On March 13, 2013, Brittany and her family were devastated with the unexpected passing of Brittany’s youngest sister, Kristen. During this time, her sister, mother, father and younger brother came together to grieve the loss of Kristen. When things seemed the hardest, Brittany joined a local CrossFit box in Spring, Texas, CrossFit Silverback. This CrossFit community uplifted her spirits and she was able to continue taking care of her health while staying in Houston to help with her mother. A little over a year later, on June 4, 2014, Brittany’s father suffered a severe heart attack. Losing her father was heart wrenching and unexpected. When she returned to Laredo, all of her co-workers, peers, and especially her fiancé, Shane, were waiting for her with open arms. In February of 2016, after moving to Olive Branch, Mississippi with her new husband, Brittany's mother passed after her five year battle with ALS. At the time, she was 22 weeks pregnant with her first child and devastated that her mother wouldn't meet her first grandchild. Nash Marshall Fisher was born on June 26, 2016 and has been the most cherished blessing in her and Shane's lives. 2 years later on July 10, 2018, Brittany, Shane and Nash welcomed a beautiful baby girl to the world, Quinn Kristen.
